Inktomi Unveils a new Paid Inclusion Program

Inktomi announced today the beginning of it's new Paid Inclusion Program. This program will allow sites to be searchable in Inktomi's 125 Web search partners, which include AOL, iWon, MSN, HotBot and others. Inktomi guarantees that sites submitted using this program will remain in the Inktomi database for 12 months and will be refreshed every 48 hours.

The Cost

The prices for the service are as follows :

First page from yourdomain.com: $30.00
Pages 2 to 100 from yourdomain.com: $15.00
Pages beyond the first 100 from yourdomain.com: $6.00

Put another way, the cost to list 10 pages from one site in the Inktomi index for one year will be $100. Free submissions to Inktomi will still be available for the time being, however, via the 'add url' links found on many of Inktomi's partner sites. Free submission will remain until a full assessment of the new service is complete.
