When Bill Pearlman
first found out about our service, he had a plan
in place. Pearlman's Jewelers is a jewelry store in Battle Creek Michigan that features the
work of 56 top designers. Of these, 23 designers
collections are the mainstay of his inventory.
Bill
believed that his clients knew the designer
names and would search by them. Rather than
position by generic terms like designer jewelry, he wanted to dominate the search
engines for the actual names of his designers.
In this way, he could tap into the millions of
dollars spent collectively to advertising the
collections of these designers in major
publications. The
strategy was an effective one. Through
Searchengineposition's services, Pearlman's now
ranks in the top 10 for their designers names in
all major search engines. They've received
unprecedented interest in their designer
collections through their online presence and
expanded their market area far beyond their
traditional boundaries in Michigan. After positioning services began,
Pearlman's noticed a dramatic increase in
traffic but
they also noticed that many visitors never made
it past the first page of their site. The reason
was a cumbersome and time consuming Flash intro
that did nothing to sell Pearlman's products.
When we reported this, Pearlman's asked us to
redesign their entire site, with increased
conversion rates as the goal.
Many hours of innovative programming went into
designing the functionality of this new site and
the stunning new layout was unveiled in 2002. |
